How do I get from Long Island to Bronx New York using the Long Island Railroad?

I live in Riverhead Long Island NY.There is a school I would like to attend in the Bronx. How would I get to the Bronx by the Long Island Railroad?

You would take the LIRR into Penn Station and then take the subway up to the Bronx. It will take a fairly long time.

My friend is obsessed with broadway and the theater, What should I get her for her 16th birthday?

please don’t say Broadway play tickets
I did not put this in the community service section, the website messed it up.

Cool broadway printed stuff.
Like maybe a Wicked shirt.
Or something from Cats.
Just stuff like that.

Should I apply to jobs in new york since I am getting little responses from my area in nj?

It would be an expensive and long commute each day to take the trains. Maybe an hour and a half each way and about $20 each way. Is that worth it?

depends on how bad you want/need a job

Where is the best place to reserve a hotel in New York(Near JFK airport or about Times sqaure)?

We are carrying two big luggages and we will arrive at JFK and have an intension to spend several days to visit New York. What cheap Hotels or Inns do you recommend. if I take a hotel near airport, would it be very difficult to get to the city`s main tourist attractions, OR it`s better off taking a hotel near city center?

Thanks

What is the best way to get from a hotel in Newark to Manhattan?

My family is taking a trip to New York City this summer, and we’ve booked a hotel in Newark near the airport. What is the best way to get from the hotel to Manhattan?

If you’re hotel has a complementary shuttle service, you can take the shuttle bus to the Newark Airtrain station P4 and take the Airtrain, which is a monorail, from there to Newark-Liberty Airport train station.

Once at the train station, you can take any New York City-bound (eastbound) NJ Train to New York Penn Station. The one way fare from Newark Airport to the New York Penn Station will cost you $15 per person, per trip ($30 per person). The trip from the airport to the city take about 20 to 25 minutes.

I hope this information was very helpful. If you have any questions or need travel directions while in town, just drop me a line by clicking on the avatar and e-mail icon in the profile. I’ll be glad to help.

Good luck

How long is the flight from New York to Greece?

We’re planning to head out to Greece this Summer and was trying to convince my GF, but she dreads long flights. How long is the flight from New York to Greece? Are there any direct flights, and also, which is the cheapest airline to get there?

Zack,

Hi again. So, we did this last year, so I know thie first-hand.

Yes, definitely, there are direct flights and it takes 10 hours from NYC to Athens and 11 hours on the return. Delta Airlines offers some of the best rates, although I would recommend using a website like SideStep that can help you find the lowest fares.

Have a great trip!

Thanks,
Sam

How old do you have to be to work at the Bronx Zoo in the summer?

I’m 14 years old & I want to know if I can work at the Bronx Zoo this summer. There probably aren’t anymore spots left for the jobs they have but I just want to know the age.

As I know, the Bronx Zoo don’t employ the workers under 18,so you can go to another place for part time job.
