Are there any cheaper safe areas in the Bronx?

I work in Riverdale, and would like to get a cheap place. I have a car, but want to be near subways. Are there areas in the Bronx where its cheaper than RIverdale, or more going on?

A few places to consider.

Throgs Neck
Marbel Hill
Norwood
Parkchester
to name a few.

The Bronx is a lot safer than it used to be in back in the day.

Good luck

What is the Broadway style song from Gremlins 2 in the montage of the gremlins?

In gremlins 2, What is the song in the scene of the montage where the gremlins are painting WB on another ones chest and doing all kinds of crazy stuff in montage. It sounds like some sort of broadway song.

How can I bring my bicylce into Manhattan on the weekend?

I live across the Hudson in Rockland county and want to bring my bicycle into Manhattan, specifically to Battery Park on a Sunday for a fund raising ride, and don’t want to drive in and park. Also, my legs can’t take riding all the way from Rockland ;) I was wondering if there are any public transportation options. Thanks!

Yes there are. You can take your bike on Metro North on non-peak hours. You will need to go to Grand Central and buy a bike permit for the train first though. I think it costs around $5 but it’s good for a year.

How do you get from the Upper West Side to Crown Heights Brooklyn?

How do you get from the Upper West Side to Crown Heights Brooklyn (Eastern Parkway boulevard)? I live on the upper west side and don’t know the subway lines really yet, I just moved to new york.

Take the number 2 train. It stops right on Eastern Parkway. There is a stop called "Eastern Parkway" right in front of the Brooklyn Museum.
