Is New York safer than London?
Both are similar sized cities, and a friend of mine I was speaking who goes to New York regularly feels that in the main areas a tourist is likely to go, New York is less rough than London. He also claimed that the bad areas of New York don’t feel as immediately dangerous as the bad areas of London.
Of course, trouble can be found in any city in the world, but he thought that even if you keep yourself to yourself, you’re still more likely to be mugged/attacked in London than New York.
Basically, in his opinion, street crime on the whole is more significant in most parts of London than NYC.
What is your opinions on this?
THE STREETS of New York feel safer than those of London, Ken Livingstone admitted yesterday. The Mayor of London said levels of street crime in the capital were “unacceptably high” but the fear of crime was still higher.
He said police had only now managed to cut street crime to its level before 11 September, when a crimewave followed the diversion of police to the city centre because of the terrorist attacks on America.
Mr Livingstone said: “I do feel safe in London, but I do not feel as safe as I did when I went to New York.

Where to practice driving in the Bronx?
My sister in law wants me to show her how to drive. Before driving in the streets I want her to get a feel for the car and get comfortable with it.
I am looking for a good place to practice in the Bronx area with a lot of open space and no traffic passing through (big parking lots that aren’t really used).
I am new to the area so not sure where to take her.

Any large parking lot, mall, in the country or store will do but remember that if your sister-in-law is unlicensed then she will be facing a very large fine and you as well can be fined as well if you are caught…

I assume your talking about the STAR rebate checks..if so, the checks were mailed out in the beginning of October. You should of had yours already. Check out this website for more info.
