Why does the anti-gun crowd keep saying that?
more laws are going to stop crime and keep illegal guns off of our streets?
Like that guy who spraypainted the “V” on that dry-erase board at a Florida School Board meeting. I thought schools were “gun-free zones?”
Or like the Columbine one or other school shootings. You can’t legally buy long guns in most states until you are 18. Some states make it 21. I know in every state you have to be 21 to buy a handgun. You can be gifted one at the age of 18.
Or look at Chicago. A city known for harsh gun laws and yet has record murder rates.
New York is only more safe because they have about 35,000 (twice as many as Chicago) police officers in NYC alone.
On the other hand, states like Vermont, which have laws that allow law abiding citizens to go just about anywhere with a gun, have one of the lowest crime rates in the country.
When have criminals followed the law?

New York City Permit Test
Getting a driver’s license in New York City; Help!?
OK, I’m 18 and just got my learner’s permit. What do I do next? (Tell me from your own experience don’t link me to some website)
My friends told me I have to watch a 5 hour video at a driving school and I get a certificate which gives me permission to take my road test
But the DMV site say to take a 5 hour class..Is that 5 hour class the 5 hour video?
Please explain what I need to do in order to get my license (Apart from learning to drive which my family members are going to teach me)
You were told wrong. You don’t need to do anything. Just pay $20 and they give you your license. No school, no practice, no test. If you don’t believe me just visit the New York DMV website. Since you don’t want a link I won’t give it to you.

Should I apply to jobs in new york since I am getting little responses from my area in nj?
It would be an expensive and long commute each day to take the trains. Maybe an hour and a half each way and about $20 each way. Is that worth it?
