Closest City to Downtown New York?
my family is taking a christmas trip to New York and i need to know what is the closet city to New York City (like times square) can someone please give me some of the closest citys that you think might have affordable hotels?
the term downtown, as mentioned before, is separated from it’s normal meaning of business district in New York. the city has three prominent, but still separate Central Business Districts. Downtown (lower manhattan, which is to say Manhattan south of 14th street), Midtown (manhattan between about 30th and 59th streets, part of the larger midtown that goes all the way to 14th) and Downtown Brooklyn, on the other side of the east river in the borough of Brooklyn (hold over name from when it was it’s own city over 100 years ago).
if you want to get technical, the closest cities to downtown, as defined as south of 14th street, are Hoboken and Jersey City, both in New Jersey and accessible to Manhattan via the PATH train.
However, i would not recommend you stay there, not due to crime or money or any of those matters, but because there can be found affordable places within the city limits. you might want to consider Downtown Brooklyn

How do I properly discard an old HP printer (New York City)?
I have an HP printer that has been sitting in my office for quite some time now. I tried an HP recycling program that I found in a pamphlette at Starbucks, but it seems that I have to PAY to use this service. Can anybody tell me the proper way to throw away this printer? My office is in Midtown Manhattan and I’d like to get rid of it ASAP. Thank you very much!
Well before you recycle it maybe you should try to get someone to (re)use it. Start with eBay then if you don’t get any bids, maybe you should give it to a local charity.
