    Thank goodness it doesn’t look like it used to. There are still some abandoned lots and gritty looking streets, but much of the bronx has been rebuilt. Now its being gentrified.

    I love Bronx becouse i was born in Bronx. I was played with my friends at High Bringe. That was so fun becouse i white guy and my friends was black guys. I was went to Mockow in 13 years. I always will remember about my street and about my friends. NY RULES!

    nah, the bronx was the poorest place back in the day, but it has definately cleaned up its act now. Detroit is pretty poor, as well as New Orleans.

I just saw it on you tube, thats why this video was reccomended to me. I was born and raised here to. Im an 80’s baby, I remember Bruckner Blvd lined with car fires, burnned buildings, broken buildings, the underpasses by 278 were war zones..     the reason why the BX started to fall apart was first and foremost the building of the major deegan (87). In the mid 60’s it plummeted propert value, so the slum loards burned the building down, this was common practice. By the 1970’s the city was in a economic crisis and debt was insurmountable. For years the city was getting by on private donations by bankers and other firms. In 1975 no one gave money. Mayor Beem corrupt as he was covered up debt.

    Negative!The Bronx has some of the nicest neighborhoods, such as Pelham Bay, Riverdale, City Island etc etc so get your facts straight, also I was born and raised in the Bronx and I’m def not poor!

    I remember the mid 80’s as a kid, and back then it look just like the 70’s. This is because those government’s back then, did for the community.The Bronx was like this for a long time 70’s-early 90’s.
