How old do you have to be to work at the Bronx Zoo in the summer?

I’m 14 years old & I want to know if I can work at the Bronx Zoo this summer. There probably aren’t anymore spots left for the jobs they have but I just want to know the age.

As I know, the Bronx Zoo don’t employ the workers under 18,so you can go to another place for part time job.

Where to practice driving in the Bronx?

My sister in law wants me to show her how to drive. Before driving in the streets I want her to get a feel for the car and get comfortable with it.
I am looking for a good place to practice in the Bronx area with a lot of open space and no traffic passing through (big parking lots that aren’t really used).
I am new to the area so not sure where to take her.
Any suggestions?

Any large parking lot, mall, in the country or store will do but remember that if your sister-in-law is unlicensed then she will be facing a very large fine and you as well can be fined as well if you are caught…

What does the modern-latino family living in the Bronx, wear?

I am directing a newly written play in my theatre class, and the show focuses on a modern day latino family living in the Bronx. There are several scenes, which means several quick-changes…..but still. The family consists of a mother - 42, father - 44, brother - 14, sister - 16 and another sister - 25.

I think I am going to have the "children" in basic jeans and shirts, but what would the parents be wearing? Jeans as well? ….Thank you!

depends on their professions. Doctors and lawyers and businessmen and women rarely wear jeans.

What bus in the bronx takes me to manhattan?

Where can I get that magic bus! I know one that you can take in pelham but i don’t know what’s the number of the bus. I need to get from the bronx to the upper East side of Manhattan to Hunter College in 68th Street and Lexington. Please help and Thank you in Advance.

That bus BxM7A Pelham Bay Park, which cost you $5.50 one way.
Step 1: You must paid in coins, Pay-Per-Ride MetroCard, 7-Day Express Bus Plus Unlimited MetroCard for $45 or Easy Pay Express Bus Card. Other unlimited MetroCard are not valid on any express buses.
Step 2: Take BxM7A to 5th Av/69th St. Return trip is at Madison Av/71st St.

Student Half-Fare MetroCard are not accepted on express buses.

Instead of paying $5.50, why not take (6), which cost you $2.25 one way.
During morning rush hour, <6> express service is available, which makes express stop in Bronx, then local in Manhattan, where you could go to 68th St-Hunters College.
You could enter Hunters College directly from subway station.

What would it be like for a english girl in the bronx?

Long story behind it, but im a 16 year old white english girl moving to the bronx with my family, so can someone help me?

Be a little more specific than just the Bronx. Neighborhoods vary a lot. Where are you coming from?

There are not too many English people in the Bronx, but there are a good number of Irish..

What is a safe neighborhood in the Bronx, NYC for my son to find a room or roommate?

I’m helping my son look for a room or roommate in NYC while he does an internship in the Bronx this summer. I’ve seen many advertisements for rooms, but, need to know which neighborhood will be safest for him. A neighborhood outside of the Bronx with an easy commute to work will also work for him.

The Bronx, although having a bad reputation, can be seedy depending on where you are. I have lived in Riverdale and I’m pretty sure that is one of the nicest, although more expensive, neighborhoods in the Bronx. It is in the north western most part of the Bronx, so commuting might be a little problematic. Marble Hill, although sometimes considered Manhattan, is another neighborhood that is nice and good location wise. If the Bronx isn’t cutting it, Washington Heights, upper UPPER Manhattan, is a neighborhood that is close to the Bronx, up and coming, and still cheap.
