How can I get a tour of the New York Times Company?

I’m 15 years old and want to pursue a career in news/investigative/features journalism. I am visiting New York City soon, and want to know if there is any possible way for me to get a tour of the place where they write/edit/print the paper. Also, are there any internships open for kids my age?

Call them or email them with the same things you just said above. Many companies provide tours of their production areas, but not their offices. You never know.

Will All Time Low be headlining the Bamboozle Roadshow tour in New York?

I’ve checked Live-Nation and the Bamboozle website but some sites say they are performing and some say they aren’t, for example on the Hot Topic website if you search All Time Low near New York for concerts, none are listed. Please (if possible) give links to websites stating this or websites to buy tickets?
Thanks :)
P.S. The closest venue to me is Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, NY

The actual headliners for each night of the show are not specified. the website says that they are going to rotate bands for each venue. All time low is one of the headlining bands so there is a good chance that they could be headlining your particular show

How many days do you need to tour New York City?

At least? At most?

Was just in Manhattan last weekend. I’d say make a 3 day weekend out of it and return Sunday.
So Thursday-Sunday. This way, you get to see what a weekday is like, you get to enjoy and tour the weekend, and get to relax a little on Sunday before leaving. Friday and Saturday are enough to do touristy things.

Tip#2 Make a list of things you will need to look into, such as tuition, location, programs offered, degree levels offered, placement record and many more that you might think of. Use this list in your search to find the right school.

Tip#3 Compile a list of fashion design schools that you wish to consider.

Tip#4 Find out everything you can about each school at their websites and list the pros and cons of each one.

Tip#7 Submit your application to those schools that remain on your list and meet your criteria.

Tip#8 Search the Internet and apply for grants and scholarships you may be eligible for while you wait to hear from the schools applied to.

Is there a chance ill meet the players of the new york yankees during the tour?

For a school trip, im going on a tour at yankee stadium. is there a chance ill meet the players? They will probably be in new york because they have a game at the stadium the next day. So is there a chance?

no, you will walk around the stadium, go to monument park, and occasionally they will let you on the field and in the dugout, however, unless you will be going to the actual game, you will not meet the players. the only remote chance at this is if you see the players arrive which is usually between 2-4 pm for a 7 pm night game. even then, i’ve been to numerous games, and lined up to see the players arrive, and ive seen only 1 time johnny damon came over to sign a little boy’s ball who was in a wheelchair, and a neck brace. Furthermore, the barriers are a good 20 feet away from the players, so its not even like youre fight next to them. However, the tour is a really fun thing, and if its your first time going to the stadium, it will be even better. Have fun!

The Problem With Barefoot Running

In a popular New York Times Magazine article this year, Adam Sternbergh makes the claim that “You Walk Wrong” It’s a fascinating article that we highly recommend. Sternbergh explains and sheds some light on the biomechanical issues that ALINE holds dear.

But there is a problem… Mr. Sternbergh, like many well-intentioned barefoot advocates, fails to notice the 500 lb. Sasquatch in the room: its name is PAVEMENT.

Feet have been evolving for 4-5 million years and are wonders of biomechanical engineering. They are well-suited for moving over the variable, natural terrain that humans encountered for 99.9999% of their evolution.

Start pounding those same feet on hard, flat asphalt (or marble, tile, concrete, wood, you name it), and they break down quickly. Most shoes only add to the problem, for the reasons discussed by Sternbergh. And just for kicks, throw in an adult foot that’s been severely compromised by years of abuse and is now expected to go run barefoot… on pavement. Disaster.

We started ALINE based on many decades of combined experience in sports and biomechanics, and we understand foot function better than most. What most people don’t realize is that the bottom of your foot is constantly in motion, conforming to natural terrain and aligning the body with every step. That action just doesn’t work well on pavement, and it’s disabled by most shoes.

ALINE’s goal is to provide an interface that allows the foot to move in a natural way, especially on the hard, flat surfaces where we live, work and play. First off, your ankle and knee alignment improves dramatically as soon as you stand on an ALINE. And once you start moving, ALINE’s BFAST suspension lets your foot move naturally no matter what terrain you’re on.

Want proof? OK. ALINE athletes (who we don’t pay to wear our insoles!) have won over a dozen X-Games medals in various sports, three PGA Tour events, several mountain biking national championships, and much more. More importantly, we get love letters daily from average people who can’t thank us enough.

The bottom line? The shoe problems that lead people to go barefoot are very real. But for modern feet in the modern world, ALINE is just better than barefoot.
