The shaky camera …
The shaky camera work is a little off-putting but the music’s great.
Matt has said in interviews that he hasn’t had any formal vocal training & it’s obvious in his singing but in a good way - he sounds this great even with no backup vocals & only a guitar to accompany him. Love it.

They actually came …
They actually came to Moscow this Summer and I read an interview they gave in the The Exile, but at that point I’d never heard of them and just umed that they were another droning listless indie band. After listening to Boxer, I regret not having listened to them earlier, I think their music is the soundtrack to every man whose in the twilight of his youth, eye to eye with both his mortality and the fact that there is no reset button in life, the current flows one way. Simply brilliant.
