Love for Vacations
There are numerous wonderful things to see and do in New York. It is difficult to picture that in a life you could possibly get to them. The difficulty is that most of them seem like so much fun that it is very hard to choose some of them. The excellent solution is to hold with things, which cannot be done and seen at home. Playing in theme parks for the many part may be done at home. When no one of our parks contrasts to the numerous available here, it may still be done in your own city without tripping thousands of miles to do so.
The same may be stated for watching films, fishing, riding bikes, hiking, and roller blazing. When making exercise is wonderful, there will be abundance of walking on your tour to New York City. But when you adore doing such things, you should not deprive yourself of doing it just because the backdrop has changed. Here you will obtain a new shot of landscape to delight, new sounds and sights, and maybe you can take your family, out, up, and active along with you.
Between Thanksgiving and New Year’s, New York City transforms itself into a holiday wonderland. There are carolers in the West Village and tubas at Lincoln Center. There’s the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and the giant ball that drops in Times Square on New Year’s Eve. In between, there are dozens of celebrations and special events commemorating everything from Christmas and Hanukkah to Kwanzaa. In New York’s 50 Best Wonderful Things to Do at the Holidays, you’ll find both the expected (the tree at Rockefeller Center, the annual performance of Handel’s Messiah at St. John the Divine) and the surprising (the Bensonhurst man who gives out 250,000 candy canes on his front lawn; the post office where all letters addressed to Santa end up, allowing citizens to choose a letter and make a child’s dream come true).
Besides, the physical activities, here are numerous wonderful shows, which may be observed on and off Broadway.

Do you love taking your family on trips and vacations?
I am always planning weekend get aways and family vacations, and day trips for our family…I was wondering if any other parents were like this? lol
Wheres your favorite family vacation spot? One of my favorites is Myrtle Beach
What is your favorite weekend get away? camping is one of my favorites
What is your favorite day trip? Mine would be a day out boating or the zoo or an amusement park…things like that..
By family I mean..you and your spouse and your children
Our family trips were always terrible. Parents arguing, siblings arguing…we finally learned we shouldn’t go on trips together.

I would love too
but my wife’s husband spends entirely too much time at work.
between you and me I think that he is a work-a-holic and needs to get a grip on what is really important in the world.

I love taking trips. Usually our big vacation for the year revolves around a family members wedding. I have over 20 first cousins on my dads side and I am the third oldest so it seems like every year we have at least one or two weddings to go to!
We usually try to take a week before the wedding to do fun things on the road on the way there or visit some fun places that are nearby. This summer it will be Minnesota. So we are going to travel through South Dakota and visit Mount Rushmore, Bear Country and the town where Laura Ingle Wilder grew up.
Favorite weekend getaway is Camping or Denver. It is the closest big city to us about 5 hours away. We like to take a weekend and hit up the zoo, malls and Childrens Museum.
Day trips? Well there isn’t much around where we live, so I would have to say out to the ranch where my parents live. We all enjoy being outdoors, BBQing and riding horses.

We do go on family trips a bit more than average. The husband works for a hotel chain, so we take full advantage of his employee discount.
San Diego is one of my favorite places to go, and its only a few hour drive from our house.
Sometimes we go north and see the snow. Sometimes we go to Vegas (though not my favorite place in the world, especially with the kids). Other times, we just book a room or two at a local resort and just take advantage of the pool and room service.
On the average weekend, my husband is home on Sundays, so we spend that day on day-trips. Lately we’ve been picking just a local park or museum, packing a lunch, and heading out for the day. Our kids are still too young for the family to really have fun at an amusement park (all being under 7, and short of patience). I don’t do boats, because I puke, so they’re out.
Most summers we head to the East Coast, the New England area for a week or so on the beach. The kids stay behind for a few more weeks to visit their grandparents when we have to come back home for work.

Vacation spot would have to be Paradise, MI. But Lake Superior is always too cold to go swimming.
Weekend get aways we go boating a lot and hope to go camping some this summer
Day trips would be boating, going to Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, we use to go to the zoo til they closed it and go to the park down by the beach
We are planning on taking the kids to sesame place in PA this summer

Yes we do. I remember taking the little foster kids all over the US and how they enjoyed meeting other people. Now our family vacation spot is a KOA somewhere. We especially love Mexico and Kentucky. Nags Head was a favorite of our kids and the mountains were also. They enjoyed camping with us also ans we spent several days a yr at state parks and close to the water. For a day trip we loved to take a picnic and go to the park and walk trails and spend the night in a cabin or our rv.
