BODEGA DOWN BRONX TRAILER
In the Bronx, bodegas are a way of life. But who chooses what the bodegas sell? And where do all those chips come from? This past semester, students from New Settlement’s Bronx Helpers and CUP teaching artist Jonathan BogarÃn have been investigating bodegas in the Bronx. The group interviewed bodegueros, visited their suppliers, and met with government officials, health professionals, and alternative Bronx food establishments. They’ve made a documentary to pass along what they’ve learned. Please join us at the world premiere of Bodega Down Bronx at The Point on June 3.
