    I have used the pop-up city maps by Compass Maps and they are really fantastic. Everything you need for a city and it fits in your pocket, is laminated, easy to read and even has a map of the subway system for that city on the back. You can get them at the mall at stores like Sharper Image or online via amazon in my source link. Hope that helps!
